Home Remedies to Get Rid of Dark Knuckles
Dark knuckles can be embarrassing, frustrating to treat. While keeping the hands well – moisturized is critical to make them look soft and welcoming, taking care of the knuckles is essential too. How to get rid of dark knuckles with these home remedies
Exfoliate
The first step to clear and get rid of dark knuckles is to exfoliate. Exfoliation is necessary to eliminate the dead cells accumulated on you knuckles. It is the first step in skin care routine. You have to get rid of dead cells to reveal a fresher you. To create a homemade exfoliating scrub, mix sugar and honey. Apply the mixture in circles over your knuckles of affected area for 5 minute. Wash off the mixture with soap and warm water. Do this 2 time in a week for best results.
Baking soda
Treat your dark knuckles with a natural
rinse made of baking soda, lemon juice, and glycerin. Baking soda is very
effective for dark spots and acne. Mix together equal parts of lemon juice,
glycerin and baking soda to make a paste. Apply the paste to your knuckle and
leave it for 15 minutes. Repeat this process every day for a month. This will
help in decreasing the darkness of your knuckles gradually.
Gram flour
Gram flour is very effective for dark knuckles. Gram flour is used in exfoliating by getting rid of dead cell efficiently. Mix 1 tablespoon of gram flour, 2 teaspoons of raw milk, and 3 drops of lemon juice in a bowl and mix them thoroughly. Apply it on your affected areas and leave it for some time or till it dries. Then remove it by doing the light scrubbing. Wash and apply moisturizer. This treatment has to be done for around one month to see a visible difference.

Honey
Take a 2 teaspoon of honey and squeeze in a few drops of lemon juice, mix well and apply on the hands and knuckle area. You just need to rub the mixture daily to see improvement in the dark skin.
Sugar and olive oil
Sugar removes the dead skin cells on the surface of the knuckles while olive oil moisturizes the skin, giving it the glow you desire. Sugar and olive oil mixed together as a scrub helps to exfoliate the dead skin cells on the knuckles.
Lemon juice
Lemon is a natural bleaching ingredient which can help to treat the dark pigmentation on the skin. Mix a spoon of lemon with sugar, clean the areas (knuckles, knees and elbows), let it dry and leave slightly damp. Rub the mixture well into these areas for about 10 minutes at a time. Do this every night for fast results.
Almond oil
Almond oil reduces the pigmentation and makes your knuckles lighter if done regularly. Almond oil improves the skin health and helps brighten it up. This rich source of vitamin E helps in skin lightening. Blend together a few grounded almonds and some yoghurt and whisk well. Use this mixture after scrubbing your hands well with an exfoliate. Apply this mixture on damp skin and then rub intensely, paying extra attention on the knuckles, for about 10 – 15 minutes. Then, wait for few minutes and then wash off with lukewarm water. Do this every day for best results.
Turmeric
Turmeric mixture reduces dark knuckles due to curcumin, which known for its skin lightening effect. Rub a paste of powdered turmeric in water on your knuckles, leave it for few minutes and wash off. Do this every morning for fast result.
Green tea
The vitamin E found in green tea helps to lighten dark skin. You can soak green teal in hot water and make it cool, then use the concoction directly on your dark knuckles.
Kojic acid
Kojic acid can lighten melasma, freckles and brown spots. If you are using kojic acid to get rid of dark knuckles, don’t expose to light and air. Apply cream with kojic acid in a thick layer over your knuckles 2 times a day.
