Choosing the nice colour hues that work with your complexion can be another difficult task it own. There are so many colours options with levels of energy and we all know that there are some colours that work better than others. Colour has the ability to enhance the mood of not only the wearer, but of those around them.

Finding the right colour for your complexion can be a difficult task sometimes. Knowing the types of colours that suit you is also very important piece in your closet puzzle. Colour is the number one most important thing when it comes styling. 

The first thing you must know is your skin tone. Beauty rules based on skin tone and the colour of the outfit you choose for your skin complexion. But remember wore what you will be comfortable in. well; the colour of your skin can play a huge part in making your outfit work.

 

How to know your skin tone

There are different ways to figure out which categories you are on take a look at your arm. To judge which colors should form of your wardrobe, you will need to determine whether you skin has a warm undertone, a cool undertone, or a neutral undertone.

Look at the veins in your wrist. If your skin is light enough that you can see your veins, look at whether they appear blue or green under your skin. The former indicates that you have a cool skin tone while the latter says shows you have a warm tone.

 1.    Dark skin

The best colours to match with a darker skin tone are white, bright, or light colours. Because dark skin has a brown undertone.  But if you want to try other colours, light shades of purples, pink, peach, green, orange, and yellow all this colours will look great on dark skin. Although pestles shade goes to the dark skin, this is one of the deeper colors that just work.

Colours to avoid

Brown, black, and navy blue. These hues won’t contrast nearly enough with dark skin.

 

2.    Light skin

Almost every colours suit light skin, but you will most likely fit into a few other categories as well. When it comes to choosing what wear for your skin colour, pick hues that clearly contrast with your skin tone. This will bring some colour and liveliness to your complexion.

The best outfits for light skin often rely on colours like emerald green, navy and bold shade of blue, light pink, lavender, and pale yellow. Neutrals also look good on you, such as a lighter beige and heather gray.

Avoid these colours:

Black and white. The stark contrast is too much for your skin and will only accentuate the lack of colour. White will make you look too pale, and black will give you a goth vibe. Neons, yellows, and lilac won’t out the best in your skin, either.

 

3.    Medium skin

People with this kind of complexion are more neutral toned and can wear multitude shades without looking garish. If you have got medium skin that tans rather than turns red in the sun, you have a warm complexion, which suits a wider spectrum of colours compared to those with fair skin or cool complexions.

 Knowing you have medium skin tone and differentiating whether you have a warm or cool undertone is a little difficult. To add some contrast, you will look best in shades that are either a little brighter or darker than the middle ground. Colours that look best on medium skin are: Dusty pink, soft rose, peach, jade green, taupe, gray, off-white, and blue. 

Colours to avoid  

 Bright red, bright yellow, and green. These colours may be too close to your skin tone.

 

General colours for all skin tones

There are severe colors that suits all skin tone, whether fair, light, dark skin, or medium skin. Below are the colors suitable for all skin type.

 

Teal blue

One of the most underrated colours of the lot is teal blue. The colour is extremely versatile and looks stunning no matter your skin type, whether fair or dark skin tone. Teal blue is regal in texture and can also work great in flattering your body type if you are on the curvy side. You can mix with these particular colours with teal blue such as, golden and cream.

 

Navy

Navy is also one of the neutrals colour, navy is sleek and classic. Navy is a general colours that look on every skin type. So it is easy to wear as well as coordinate with the rest of your outfit. You can mix other colours with navy such as, red and white.

 

White

White is literally everyone’s color. It suits every skin complexion, no matter what kind of outfit you pick. You can mix white any other colour for your outfit such as, red, black, pink, brown, royal blue, or any other color.

 

Purple

Purple is a combination of the primary colours red and blue. It can be worn with many different colours and it looks nice on all skin tones. Others colours that can be mixed with purple are, white, silver, gold, and onions color.

 

Red

Red is every woman color. Because it works holidays, Valentine’s Day and goes great with your little black dress. It’s hard to find a red without orange, white, and blue. Red is a power color and an instant confidence booster.

 

Turquoise

Turquoise is from the blue family, is one the shade that is a must have, no matter what complexion you are. Turquoise is fun and doesn’t distinguish between the fair and the dark skin. You can mixed others color with turquoise such as, red, yellow, pink, silver, earthy browns and light orange.
