Fashion designer requires lot skills. To become a successful fashion designer, you will need to be creative in drawing, sewing, and design skills, a knowledge of the fashion industry. To pursue a career in fashion design, one must acquire eclectic skill sets along besides putting in a lot of hard work. In the world of fashion, skills, and passion are the most important.  Many fashion designers get started by earning a degree from a design school; it is very easy to have a nice career as a fashion education. Although is not everybody that has the opportunity to have degree for fashion designer before they can acquire it. Pursuing fashion design independently takes effort and commitment, but it can be a satisfying path for people who are self-motivated.

A fashion designer is the art of sketching, outline, and creating clothing for people to wear. Fashion designer creates garments based on consumer demand or their own creative vision. They may specialize in high fashion, ready to wear apparel, mass market clothing, accessories, or footwear. To become a fashion designer, you will need to have a combination of drawing, sewing, and design skills, a knowledge of the fashion industry.

11. Know fabrics and materials

As a fashion designer you need to be familiar with different materials and fabrics, also know the names, it’s very important. Touch and feel the fabrics you intend to work with; making creative decisions based on only a swatch may limit your ability to understand movement and draping on a human body.
