Microsoft word is a word processing program used for creating documents. It was developed by MICROSOFT in 1983. It primarily used for creating documents in different formats, such as brochures, create letters, quizzes, tests, learning activities, project, simple logos, resumes, and for assignments. It is the most commonly used word processor software. Microsoft word is one of the most widely used and familiar pieces of office software in the world.

CTRL + SHIFT + A = Sets the selected text to all capital letters

CTRL + SHIFT + C =Copy Formats

CTRL + SHIFT + D = Double Underline text

CTRL + SHIFT + E = Track changes

CTRL + SHIFT + F = Change the font

CTRL + SHIFT + H =Apply hidden text formatting

CTRL + SHIFT + K = Format letters are small capitals

CTRL + SHIFT + L = Apply the List style

CTRL + SHIFT + M = Remove a paragraph indent from the left

CTRL + SHIFT + N = Apply the Normal Style

CTRL + Up Arrow = Move one paragraph up

CTRL + Down Arrow = Move one paragraph down

CTRL + Page Up = Go to the top of next page

CTRL + END = Go to the end of document

CTRL + X = Cut text

CTRL + Y = Redo an action previously undone OR repeat an action

CTRL + Z = Undo a previous action

CTRL + HOME = Go to the beginning of document

CTRL + ENTER = Page break

CTRL + DELETE = Delete one word to the right

CTRL + ‘+ <char> = Insert a character with an accent (acute) mark, where <char> is the character you want. For example, if you wanted an accented e you would use Ctrl + ‘+ e as your shortcut key. To reverse the accent mark, use the opposite accent mark, often found on the tilde key.

CTRL + BACKSPACE = Deletes word to left of cursor

CTRL + DEL = Deletes word to right cursor

CTRL + SPACEBAR = Reset highlighted text to the default font

Alt + F1= Go to next field

Alt + Ctrl + L = A Listnum field

Alt + F9 = Switch between all field codes and their results

Alt + Shift + D = A Date field

Alt + Shift + F1 = Go to the previous field

Alt + Shift + F9 = Run Gotobutton or Macrobutton from the field that displays the field results

Alt + Shift + P = A page field

Alt + Shift + T = A Time field

Ctrl + F11 = Lock a field
